Celebrate Excellence Contests

   NAFDMA CELEBRATE EXCELLENCE PROGRAM

It’s Simple
NAFDMA’s
Celebrate Excellence Program is designed to satisfy 3 primary objectives toward NAFDMA’s goals for Innovation, Education, Participation and Networking:

   1. Stimulate Peer Learning – They promote the sharing of ideas, innovations, strategies, and favored practices in an interactive environment.

   2. Celebrate Excellence – The contests recognize creativity, reward hard work and highlight best practices as determined by NAFDMA peers through a ballot process.

   3. Advance Best Practices - Through the process of review and voting, all NAFDMA Conference attendees observe various approaches to the same objective, analyze their own favorite    examples, and tune-in to adaptations that will work for their business. Top vote getters of several contests will be asked to give presentations at the conference the following year. Relevant conference programming is ensured through meaningful input from the entire Convention Membership; it advances best practices in our industry by promoting more detailed discussion and modeling the most excellent industry examples.

How it works

  • a).  Celebrate Excellance Contests are featured on Participation Day, hand-in-hand with the Trade Show.  Each entry will be assigned a number and voting will be by ballot.  Ballots are supplied for all attendees in the Convention Yearbook upon registration.
  • b).  All Participation Day attendees will have the opportunity to review the entries and vote for their favorite entries beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
  • c).  Ballots will be counted.  Each Contest will have one winner and two honorable mentions.  The top three vote getters in each contest will be displayed on Education Day and on Innovation Day.
  • d).  The Winners and Honorable Mentions in each category will be presented during the NAFDMA Celebrate Excellance Luncheon held on Innovation Day.
  • e).  Many thanks to those who have devoted time to serve on NAFMA's Membership Participation Team to support the success of the Celebrate Excellance Program, several of whom will also serve as volunteer contest facilitators.  They are Anna Lyles, Debbie Pifer, Eric Pohlshneider, Carolyn Raasch, Becky Walters, Kim Kuipers, Wade Kuipers, and Bill Bakan.
